It is often couled with another bug, in which you get either zero or minus one days to comlete the quest. When they appear together, these bugs will cause the game to crash as soon as you accept the quest. The only way to avoid this is to not take the quest. Just ignore it whenever it comes up.
Some people have also mentioned the poachers staying on the world mape even after they’ve been defeated, but that’s a much milder issue than the one above, which also has the nasty habit of corrupting the save file. So just avoid the army of poachers quest like the plague.
Herd delivery quest bug
The cattle quests are also ripe with issues, but the most common one is the cattle not appearing. As soon as you accept the quest, the herd should appear in your inventory. If you’re having trouble finding them, go to a trading menu and you should see them listed as sellable. If not, you’ve been visited by the cattle disappearing bug. There’s nothing you can do about it, as far as we know, and you’ll just have to fail the quest and live with it.
