CanonIJ Status Monitor Overview

CanonIJ Status Monitor shows an icon when a low ink warning or a no ink error occurs.
In addition, this function displays graphics showing the estimated ink levels of the ink tank.
In this case, click the graphics to open the Ink Details dialog box.You can check the detail information such as the remaining ink level and the ink tank types for your printer.
Shows the name of the document to be printed.
Shows the owner's name of the document to be printed.
Shows the number of printing page and total printing pages.
Shows the print window used to manage the print job that is being printed or being in the print queue.
Cancels the current print job.
The Cancel Printing button is enabled only while print data is being sent to the machine.Once the print data has been sent, the button is grayed out and becomes unavailable.
If you select Enable Status Monitor, when a machine related message is generated the CanonIJ Status Monitor starts.
When Enable Status Monitor is selected, following commands are available.
Displays the CanonIJ Status Monitor during printing.
Displays the CanonIJ Status Monitor in front of other windows.
Displays the guide for operations in which how to set paper is complicated.
Displays the guide message when envelope printing starts.
To hide this guide message, select the Do not show this message again check box.
To display the guide messages again, click Envelope Printing on the Display Guide Message in the Option menu and enable this setting.
Displays the guide message before the printer begins hagaki printing.
To hide this guide message, select the Do not show this message again check box.
To display the guide messages again, click Hagaki Printing on the Display Guide Message in the Option menu and enable this setting.
Starts the CanonIJ Status Monitor window automatically and displays it in front of the other windows when a low ink warning occurs.

When you select this menu item, the Help window for CanonIJ Status Monitor is displayed, and you can check the version and copyright information.
To open the Print dialog, you typically select Print... from the File menu of your application software.
Select the model to be used for printing.
When you click Add Printer..., a dialog for specifying the printer opens.
You can save or delete the settings of the Print dialog.
If you are using Mac OS X v10.8 or Mac OS X v10.7, you can select Show Presets... to check the print settings that are set in the Print dialog.
You can set the number of copies to be printed.
If you are using Mac OS X v10.6.8, you can also set collate printing.
If you are using Mac OS X v10.8 or Mac OS X v10.7, you can set collated printing by choosing Paper Handling from the pop-up menu.
You can set duplex printing.
You can set the range of pages to be printed.
Select the size of the paper to be used for printing.
To set a non-standard size, select Manage Custom Sizes....
Select the print orientation.
You can switch between pages in the Print dialog by the pop-up menu.The first menu to appear differs depending on the application software that opened the Print dialog.
You can choose one of the following items from the pop-up menu.
You can set page layout printing.
Use Reverse page orientation to change the paper orientation, and use Flip horizontally to print a mirror image of the document.You can also set duplex printing.
Select the color correction method.
You can set the pages to be printed on paper and the print order.
You can output cover pages both before and after a document.
You can set the print start time and print priorities.
You can set basic print settings that match the machine.
You can adjust the print colors as you desire.
You can adjust the amount of document that extends off the paper when performing borderless printing.

If you are using Mac OS X v10.8 or Mac OS X v10.7, you cannot use Scheduler and Summary.

This button allows you to check the print results on the screen before printing.
